Sitting on the Plane to Singapore last night when after boarding twice and sitting for three hours at the gate, we get the work that due to a computer error, all flights are grounded. So, at 2 in the morning, it’s a mad scramble to not only rebook flights, but to find a hotel. As you can imagine, hotels rooms went in a hurry and by some miracle I was able to edge out a lobby full of hopefuls to get a room for a few hours sleep. Rebooking my flight to Singapore was a bit more difficult as systems were down and then all future flight got packed out with those left behind from the night before. I was able to book a flight this mornings to continue on to Singapore although it was a downgrade to economy seat. 17 hour flight, economy? Good news was upgraded back to Polaris this afternoon, and will don the PJ’s and get some sleep.
